"Account stuff is way more annoying than it should be"
I tried to update my email and shipping info, and for whatever reason it just kept pulling up the old details like nothing changed. There’s something about it that makes the whole account setup feel clunky and harder than it needs to be.
I reached out to support, but the replies were slow and felt generic. I still have trouble getting into my account half the time, which is frustrating when I’m just trying to buy parts and move on.

"Am I the only one who finds it…"
Am I the only one who finds it really frustrating when you’ve already paid for something and can’t get a simple update? I emailed them twice about my order and never got what felt like a real answer. I also tried calling, but just ended up sitting on hold. The whole thing was annoying and left a bad impression. I wouldn’t use them again

"Parts were hard to track down"
I had a tough time finding the exact parts I needed. Even simple things took a few extra clicks, and the pages loaded slowly, which made the whole process feel more frustrating than it should have. A little smoother navigation would help a lot.

"Fitment Was Way Off"
I ordered a part because the site said it would fit my truck, and I even double checked the year and model before buying. Then it shows up and doesn’t line up at all. Come on now, the whole reason I used the site was to make sure the fitment was right. Now I’m stuck dealing with returns and wasted time. Frustrating

"Payment kept messing up"
So, yeah, my card somehow got charged twice, but the order still never actually went through. I tried reaching out to support, but they weren’t much help at all. It was just kind of frustrating because I was stuck paying for something I didn’t even get.

"Nobody Seemed to Own the Answer"
I reached out with what I thought was a simple fitment question, but support didn’t seem to really know who was supposed to handle it. "Core charge turned into a hassle"
The whole core charge process was way more frustrating than it should’ve been. It wasn’t clear from the beginning, and when I reached out to customer service, I didn’t feel like I was getting straight answers. I had to keep following up just to try to understand what was going on, and even then it never really felt resolved the right way. After this, I don’t really trust their customer service to handle stuff like this, so I wouldn’t use them again for anything that involves a core return.

"Parts arrived, but shipping felt slow"
I ordered a couple of GM parts and everything did show up in good shape, so no complaints there. My gut feeling while waiting, though, was that the shipping was moving slower than it should have. The tracking sat without much of an update for a few days, which was a little frustrating. It wasn’t a horrible experience or anything, just not the fastest. I’d probably order from them again if I wasn’t in a hurry, but I don’t think I’d use them for something I needed right away.

I ordered this because it was listed as OEM, so I figured I was getting the same kind of GM factory part that came off my truck. But when it showed up, the packaging was just plain and the markings didn’t match what I removed. It made me uneasy about installing it. When I reached out, customer service wasn’t all that helpful, and it felt like the terms or definition of “OEM” started changing once I questioned it. Maybe other people have had better luck, but this wasn’t what I expected. I probably won’t be ordering from GM Parts Direct again.

I noticed quickly that the amount they charged me didn’t match the invoice, which is always a red flag for me because I tend to look for patterns with stuff like billing. "Cancellation worked out, just slower than I expected"
I had to cancel my order after I realized I’d picked the wrong part. I was expecting it to be a quick process, but it took a couple of messages back and forth and a few days before everything was sorted out. It wasn’t a bad experience overall, just a little slower and less clear than I’d hoped. The refund did come through in the end.

"Wrong part arrived and no real accountability"
I ordered a bracket, but what showed up was a completely different piece. The packing slip had the correct part number, so somewhere on their end the wrong item was picked or packed. I reached out to support, but the response was slow and not very helpful. Mistakes happen, but I expected them to take responsibility and make it right without me having to chase them. After this experience, I won’t be ordering from them again...

I requested a refund a while ago, it’s been dragging on way longer than I expected. I followed up after the first week, then again a few days later, but I still haven’t gotten my money back. At this point, it feels like I’ve been waiting forever with no real update.

"Part arrived looking used"
I’ve always tried to stick with genuine GM parts, so I ordered from gmpartsdirect.com expecting everything to be clean and new. Unfortunately, the box showed up beat up, and the part itself had scratches and dirty marks on it, almost like it had been returned or sitting on a shelf for a long time.

That’s what makes it frustrating, I want to stay loyal to GM parts because I trust the fit and quality, but this experience definitely made me second-guess ordering from this site again. Maybe the part still works fine, but for the price, I really don’t think I should have to accept something that looks halfway used
